I made this tonight for dinner and it turned out delicious! My husband is taiwanese and I'm Korean, and it's incredibly hard to find good Chinese or Asian recipes online. So I was really excited to find this one. I used a braising soy sauce and didn't have whole peppercorns so I just used freshly ground pepper instead. And we love eggs so I put in ten and increased the liquids just a tad. This was my first Chinese dish and my husband said he'll definitely be asking me to make this for him again. thanks or sharing!

I used the pouch and it was great! I didn't have to fish out the spices afterwards and the pork belly tasted really good. I'll have to get some more for the holidays. Thanks!

The braising packet was perfect. It made the process very easy and I didn't have to buy bags of spices that I rarely use. Also I took out the chili peppers because I don't like my pork belly spicy. Thanks.

Hey Jared thanks for your comment and for checking out the site! As for braising, my understanding is simply cooking meat in a covered pot with some liquid at a low temperature for a long time. So pot roast would be a braised dish. Either way I love PORK BELLY not matter how it's cooked!!!!
